On May 6, 2021, our good friend Yanni Killebrew broke his leg while playing ultimate frisbee.

Yanni has been an active member of the Chattanooga ultimate community as a college player, high school coach, league captain, and a player on the club level team, Tanasi. He's worked hard to play at an elite level, and brings an unmatched level of energy and positivity to each of his roles.

After an ambulance ride from the fields and a day at the hospital, Yanni underwent surgery on his leg, where they put in a metal rod. He's now in an air cast and using a walker to get around as needed, and has a long recovery ahead of him.

It's been amazing to see the support from his community and friends thus far, and only serves as a testament to how much people value his presence in their lives. Ongoing support will be vital in his recovery process, so if you feel moved to contribute in some way, donating here is one opportunity. The funding will help cover medical expenses and cost of living due to necessary time off of work.
