Please help the life of someone very special, Victoria Jones Hutchinson.
Vicky is a fighter. She’s battled cancer now for over 12 years - first getting diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 25. Since then, she’s fought secondary cancers in her lymph nodes, bowel, sternum and several lesions on her liver …
… but this isn’t a cancer story, it’s a love story.
Vicky and Pippa first met when Pippa did work experience at the veterinary practice where Vicky worked. They both kept in touch via social media and many years later reconnected when Vicky reached out to Pippa after Pip's mother passed away. This connection soon blossomed into romance and...
Fast forward seven years: Pip and Vic are married (having tied the knot in 2015) and live a kind and loving life with their rescue animals in Surrey. Vicky is still a veterinary nurse and works the hours her illness allows - she hasn't stopped working since her initial diagnosis in fact. Pippa became a dog trainer and walker who has also devoted her life to helping animals.
They are both incredibly warm and generous women who spend each day going out of their way to help others, whether human or animal kind. Sadly, cancer doesn’t care how great someone is.
Vicky’s cancer is now Stage 4. She is on the last chemo treatment available to her and is booked to discuss clinical trials with the Royal Marsden in the new year. She has continued to work throughout her illness because she loves animals but also out of financial necessity; the couple can’t afford to make ends meet otherwise. Which is the reason for this fundraising page.
Please help us raise money to help Vicky through her next treatment and cover living costs. We would love to collect enough donations to support her so that she can concentrate on getting better.
