Help for Ujjal's Family

Ujjal was a 38 year old vibrant and very active young man. At this moment, he is on life support at St. Marks hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He went for a run on Sunday morning and had a cardiac arrest. As he lay unconscious, CPR administered by a fellow runner failed and he could only be revived by paramedics, but by then it was too late.

Unfortunately, his brain was deprived of oxygen for at least 20 mins. By the time he was revived, his brain was over 90% damaged.

A family of 4 that was having a picnic on Saturday, now has to take one of the hardest decisions of their life. The life support is the only thing that is keeping him alive for now.

Ujjal will leave behind Basundhara, his wife and two very little kids; 7 year old Hridaan and 10 month old Hritvi. In addition to the mountain of medical bills, Basundhara also has to take care of the future of her kids and has a long way to go.
