In the early hours of  Sunday September 1, 2019 our friend and brother, Brandigan Travers suffered a stroke at home. He was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital and admitted into their ICU. Initially the doctors thought he may have suffered a TIA ("mini-stroke"), but after reviewing the MRI, they confirmed he had a stroke. He has spent the last week being treated and evaluated with his wife Jessica at his side the entire time.  Brandigan is experiencing partial paralysis on his left side, and some delayed responses in speech, but is making positive steps with moving his left arm and leg, and is increasingly enjoying conversations with family and friends. Brandigan has made remarkable improvement, there is still a long road ahead. Currently, he is in the process of being admitted into an inpatient rehabilitation facility for treatment, where he could reside for several weeks before transitioning home. Even after the transition, there will still be months of speech, physical, and occupational therapy to get back to 100%. As you can imagine, the hospital expenses, therapy treatment, and their normal household expenses will continue to add up while Brandigan is out of work. Additionally, there will need to be modifications made to the home (such as wheelchair ramp and first floor sleeping area that includes an accessible shower) to make it more accessible,  since he won't be able to use the stairs.  Brandigan and Jessica's family and friends are definitely willing to, and have stepped up to try to meet the need, but as the situation will require ongoing support, the Travers family needs your help.  We appreciate any and all assistance you can provide. Prayers are needed for supernatural healing and recovery, strength and peace for Jessica and the children.  With a long recovery ahead we want to make sure that the family has all that they need throughout this process to pay their medical expenses, to make any modifications needed to their home and to maintain normal household expenses on one income for at least the better part of a year.
