Help for transitions after a life saving changing surgery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I never thought I’d be writing this, but today, I’m reaching out for help in the most personal way. My little sister, Ariel, just underwent a life-saving surgery, and while we are beyond grateful that she has been given this second chance, the journey ahead is daunting—both emotionally and financially.
She is one of the strongest people I know. She’s also one of the most private—the kind of person who fights her battles quietly, never asking for help, always choosing to overcome each challenge on her own. But this one… this one has been the hardest yet. It has taken a toll on her in ways I can’t put into words. She has fought so hard, done everything right, and yet sometimes, hard work just isn’t enough.
If you know her, you know she has a dark sense of humor—it’s how she copes, how she keeps pushing forward. And even through all of this, she still tries her best to share that humor with the people around her. But if there’s one thing that truly makes her happy, she always says it’s genuine relationships—the kind where you can be completely yourself and know the other person feels safe enough to do the same.
That’s why I’m asking for help. Because if she’s ever made you laugh, if she’s ever made you feel seen, if she’s ever been that kind of friend to you, she needs her people now. The medical bills, the medications, the ongoing care—it’s all overwhelming as she prepares for the second leg of this journey. My family is doing everything we can, but we can’t do this alone.
If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small—every bit helps ease the financial burden so she can focus on what truly matters: her healing. And if you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser and keep her in your thoughts. It would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your love, support, and kindness. It truly makes a difference.
With gratitude,
Our family
