On 29 October, the DANA hit our land hard, taking much more than material things with it. There are families in Valencia who have lost everything, and our politicians are not up to the task, which is why Valencia needs people's help now more than ever.
We are a group of Valencians living in Berlin who are raising funds through donations and events to send periodically to our land. The donations will go directly to volunteers who are helping on the ground and who are aware of the daily needs. So far the money raised has gone to the organisation Los Bajos de la Dana (for hydraulic cleaning of the ground floors), the residents of the Solimar retirement home (destroyed by the Dana), the Banda Primitiva de Paiporta and Sedajazz (for the reconstruction of these institutions so important for the Valencian culture) and to individual people in contact with the victims who bring them food and basic necessities.
If you can contribute, any amount helps. Everything raised will go straight to those who truly need it, no middlemen. Thank you for being there and for supporting our community during this tough time.

El 29 de octubre, la DANA golpeó duramente nuestra tierra, llevándose mucho más que cosas materiales. Hay familias en Valencia que lo han perdido todo, y además, nuestros políticos no están a la altura de las circunstancias, por eso mismo Valencia necesita la ayuda de la gente ahora más que nunca.
Somos un grupo de valencianos afincados en Berlin que estamos recaudando fondos a través de donaciones y eventos para enviar periódicamente a nuestra tierra. Las donaciones irán directamente a personas voluntarias que están ayudando sobre el terreno y que son conscientes de las necesidades diarias. Hasta ahora el dinero recaudado ha ido a la organización Los Bajos de la Dana (para limpiezas hidráulicas de los bajos), los residentes en la residencia de mayores Solimar (destruida por la Dana), la Banda Primitiva de Paiporta y la Sedajazz (para la reconstrucción de estas instituciones tan importantes para la cultura valenciana) y a personas individuales en contacto con las víctimas que les llevan comida y necesidades básicas.
Si puedes aportar algo, cualquier cantidad ayuda. Todo lo recaudado irá a quienes realmente lo necesitan, sin rodeos. Gracias por estar ahí y por apoyar a nuestra gente en un momento tan difícil.
