Help for the Walshes

UPDATE:
I'm heartbroken to update this with a mix of good and bad news. Sierra didn't have to start dialysis because her kidneys are functioning again. She also managed to rip out her own breathing tube and is now breathing on her own. The bad news is the test results came back from the mass and Sierra has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. The diagnosis makes this situation even more complicated and the next steps harder to figure out since they can't start treatment while she is still fighting off sepsis. Thank you to everyone that has and will contribute to this fund. Please continue to share this page, pray for Sierra and Isaac, and send your love.

STORY:
A few days before Thanksgiving, Sierra was rushed to the hospital after she was found passed out on the floor. She's been struggling with stomach issues for months, and after an emergency surgery, doctors found out why: Sierra has been walking around with a 5cm mass in her digestive tract along side of a tear that has been leaking bile into her body. Sierra remains in critical condition in the hospital and is battling through severe sepsis and all of the complications that come with it.

While we are all hoping and praying she continues to improve, the prognosis for the next year is tough. Sierra is expected to have a lengthy stay in the hospital, followed by a 3 month recovery in an assisted nursing facility, and 9 - 12 months of continued recovery at home. The ask is simple: Isaac and Sierra need help making ends meet over the next year. They have a 5 month old child, Whitman, that needs to be cared for, as well as Sierra.

If you know Isaac and Sierra, I don't have to explain to you why they deserve our support.

If you don't know them, they are a young vibrant couple with a new born child and live a very simple but genuine life. Isaac says it best about Sierra "She is the reason I believe there really is goodness in the world."

We're entering a time where we are going to be spending our hard earned dollars on gifts for those around us, but I hope you can send a little bit of it towards the Walshes. Gofundme does take a small percentage of anything given and it is not tax deductible, so if you know them personally and feel comfortable donating to them directly, please do so.
