Help for the Vann Family
Donation protected
On December 6, 2016, Kevin Vann was involved in a serious accident at a DAK America Plant. He was performing annual maintenance on a pump containing polymers when something went badly wrong. Kevin has third degree burns on 65% of his body and has been placed on a ventilator under sedation. He is currently in critical condition in the ICU at the Augusta Burn Center. Kevin, as most fathers and husbands are, is the primary income for their family. With Kelli needing to be by his side and taking care of their 12 year old son, she is unable to be at work. Their family is uncertain of what is to come and appreciates everyones prayers at this time. We are hoping through this fund to be able to help her in paying the bills, expenses being out of town, and anything else that may arise in the coming weeks. Kevin and Kelli are some of the hardest working people I know and I would love it if we could help them through this trying time.
Wednesday night update on Kevin Vann:
Kevin had surgery again today to scrape his skin to help prevent infection. They were able to get both legs and his body. They may take him again on Friday to work on his arms but hopefully they can wait until next week. The surgeon says he saw better progress with his burns today and his blood loss was much less than any of his surgeries last week. They also took some of the coating that covers his face off to see how his skin is progressing. Parts of it look really good but there are places that it is really red where his skin has not completely healed. But those red spots look so much better than what we have been seeing on his face. Overall we had a good report between the surgeon and nurse tonight so today was a good day. Keep those prayers coming!
** I am a friend to Kelli and Kevin Vann and their son Kaleb. All money will go directly to Kelli and Kevin for whatever expenses they may have coming up. I spoke with Kelli and she was very appreciative of everyone. Thank you.
