With deep sadness, I am updating this page to share that Alan is nearing the end of his tremendously brave fight against cancer. His courage has been nothing short of inspiring. If his cancer could have been beaten by grit alone, it wouldn't have stood a chance. 

At this time, I am reaching out one more time for any monetary gifts people are willing to give to this incredible family. Sara was able to take some time off from teaching last spring when Alan was undergoing treatment and recovering from surgery. Unfortunately, this means she has a very limited number of days remaining of FMLA leave. Soon her only option will be to take unpaid days off in order to spend these final days with Alan, who has started in-home hospice care. 

Your monetary gifts will help ease the financial burden caused by a significant cut in pay during this final chapter in Alan's story. Thank you and God bless.
