Help for the Sorensen Family
Donation protected
We are reaching out to ask for help and support for our brother-in-law and uncle, Russ Sorenson, who, on June 2 was airlifted to Rochester with a heart attack. He had a stent placed. After extensive testing, they found cancer in both lungs, spots on his adrenal glands, kidney, liver, spine, and a small spot on his brain.
After a week he was sent home with oxygen and drainage tubes. Two days later, he was sent back to Rochester with a massive heart attack. He went into surgery for more stents to be placed. Due to heart and cancer complications, Russ passed away on Thursday, June 15 with his family surrounding him.
The Sorensens are facing a lot of unexpected medical expenses, so on their behalf we are reaching out and are grateful for anything you might be able to contribute.
Russ was a strong, thoughtful, gentle, and patient father and husband. Russ' full heart bled into his work, which was an artistry of skill and carpentry. He leveraged his craft to support a family of six in his prime years. Russ' steadfast kindness often went unnoticed because of his quiet demeanor. For example, one day he came home from work and said, "June, I met a homeless man today. He doesn't have anywhere to stay tonight so I invited him to stay at our house."
That's Russ. Husband, father, worker, beloved servant.
