Sifa was born during the Rwandan genocide. After losing most of her family by age 11, she lived in refugee camps in Congo until escaping the violence there to another refugee camp in Uganda until being accepted to come to Utah as a refugee. Sifa is the loving mother of 5 beautiful young children. On Wednesday, April 24, Sifa's 11-year-old Ahadi accidentally careened into an SUV while riding a bike. Though wearing a helmet, she sustained major injuries to her head and was pronounced dead on Friday, April 26.

We are requesting funds to help pay for: 

a)   Help meeting the financial needs of this family as they mourn the loss of their daughter.

b)  Qualified, licensed full-time daycare for the youngest child so Sifa can pursue job training and employment. 

c) Assistance in furthering the remaining children's education (tutoring services, summer school, etc.)

All funds will directly benefit Sifa and her family.

Kim Oldroyd is the treasurer for the organization with UCRPC and will be personally disbursing the funds to Sifa.
