In April 2022, Beck was diagnosed with clear cell ovarian cancer. Sadly, his cancer was aggressive and did not respond to treatment. Beck's time with us ended on September 14th. The Rothke family is now walking a difficult (and expensive) path. While the Rothke family is profoundly grateful for all of the ways so many people have provided support over the last six months, the reality is that they will have ongoing financial needs related to Beck's treatment, care, and loss of income which has stretched their resources. Jen and Ellis face an uncertain future and we want to rally around them to make sure their basic needs are met while they take the time they need to grieve the loss of Beck.
