On behalf of the Nodal family.
On 5/7/2021, Rene Nodal was involved in a motorcycle accident, near Shamrock, TX. This is far from home in Fresno, CA. A truck driver pulled his truck over, blocked traffic, called Rene’s wife, called 911, and saved Rene’s life. Rene is currently in a hospital in Lubbok, TX. He will probably be there for weeks.
As of now, Rene is sedated and intubated. His CTs show a clear head and torso. There is muscle missing and are several broken bones in both legs, both feet, and left arm. There are surgeries needed, skin grafts required.... all before rehabilitation can start. His wife, Andi, cannot be out there because she needs to be present for their three children. She is devastated.
Andi and Rene are parents to Nathaniel, Hayleigh, and Elissa. They are processing through a nightmare.
The steps are very uncertain, as there are no answers. The family is taking it minute by minute.
In time, Rene will need to be transported home, as well as need things to rehabilitate and recuperate. We are asking for support to help with bills, eventual travel and transportation, and additional incidentals to help support the family through this chaotic and stressful time.
No amount is too small, anything will be greatly appreciated.
