Help for the Melahn's

Hi - my name is Rachel, and I am fundraising to help my best friend Kimmie and her husband Brandon. On Christmas Eve 2021 Brandon went into the hospital due to kidney and liver failure. As of January 2nd, 2022, he was officially put on dialysis and there is some hope for transplant. I decided to create this GoFundMe to assist with paying for his medical bills. Even with insurance, they look at being in quite a lot of medical debt trying to save his life and keep a roof over their family.

Kimmie and Brandon met in February of 2020. Both had been in previous relationships, but truly found love together. They are a modern-day Brady Bunch with six beautiful children between them ranging from ages 2 to 12. They live in Antioch, IL and have been a part of that community for years now. They had their wedding planned for January 8th, 2022 but are now focused on Brandon’s hopeful recovery instead.

Unfortunately, as Brandon is fighting for his life, Kimmie is on her own to support their family and take care of all incoming medical bills and basic household ones. She is doing all that she can, and while there is support from friends and family who are close by, any additional help would truly be a blessing and utterly appreciated. Even helping to get the word out would be amazing.
