Mike McHenry was rushed to the hospital Sunday, May 16. He had an extremely high fever and Sheila knew he needed help. Mike was admitted to Saint Jude, and a team of experts worked to bring his fever down and tried to locate the source of his infection. The Doctors learned that he had suffered a recent heart attack. While trying to treat the infection, Mike also endured a series of strokes and eventually had to be put on life support. Only six days after he was admitted to the hospital, Mike passed on to meet the Lord late Saturday evening. Mike was surrounded by his wife, kids, and family and was very peaceful.
Mike spent most of his life serving the Lord and teaching his Catholic faith to hundreds of kids as a Youth Minister as well as serving in music ministries throughout Orange County. Mike was a loyal friend to everyone he met and was always quick with sound advice as well as the ability to make you laugh! He will be greatly missed by his wife Sheila, their kids Jack and Erin, and so many family members and dear friends.
We are here to support the McHenrys. The sudden and devastating loss of Mike will affect every aspect of their lives. We are hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden by starting this Go Fund Me to help pay for funeral and unexpected hospital expenses, as well as the immediate day-to-day expenses incurred through the immediate loss of his income. All funds raised here will go directly to Sheila to manage.
