Help for little Ayodh
In summer 2019 Swiss Surgery GmbH got to know Liyanage Poorna Chalanga De Silva in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. He explained to us his desperate situation:
His son Ayodh is only three years old and suffering from Leukemia.
The chemotherapy he requires is too expensive for his family. Their monthly income was only 180 Swiss francs and all of their savings have been spent on Ayodh's treatment.
The hospital is in Colombo but his mother and two siblings live in Hikkaduwa. Because of the 112 km distance between Colombo and Hikkaduwa, Ayodh's father had to rent a second apartment and is, as a result of this situation, not able to work.
Consequently, the family is faced with three problems:
a) How are they supposed to pay the upcoming treatments for their son?
b) How can they pay off the debts they have already encumbered themselves with to continue the medical treatments of their son?
c)How are they going to survive the next day? The family is sacrificing every penny for Ayodh and no longer have any money to live from.
Therefore, the lack of money is the source of all the family's problems! Chemotherapy is expensive. Ayodh's treatment will cost between 10'000 and 15'000 Swiss francs, a fortune in Sri Lanka. The family has already spent 6'000 Swiss francs on his past treatments.
But, according to the University Hospital in Colombo, chances are 90% that little Ayodh can be healed completely.
Ayodh is still in hospital. We just sent his family more money we have been raising privately, but then again it will not be enough to secure that he keeps getting treatments.
His medical condition needs continuous treatment and the family is in URGENT need of YOUR HELP! Please donate as soon as possible to help little Ayodh to fight cancer.
