Help for the Knapek's House

On January 4, 2023, at approximately 8 PM, George, Linda, & Cindy Knapek lost their home in a fire. Although they are devastated, tired, and in shock, thankfully everyone is safe. If the fire had started about 2 hours later, it could be a much different outcome.

George, Linda & Cindy have been very active and involved in their church community at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. George is a retired farmer/rancher who still enjoys his farm living. Linda most recently worked in Hutto ISD in the special education department. Since retirement, she substitute teaches and volunteers. Cindy is currently a volleyball/powerlifting coach and teaches 4 levels of chemistry at Thrall High School.

One of the reasons I've created this GoFundMe is because the Knapek family is very humble & doesn't wish to burden anyone in their community. However, they have always been so giving to others and there will be so much to do in the days/weeks/months to come, that I wanted to find a way that those of us who've been touched by the Knapek's kindness can help in their time of need.

The funds raised by this GoFundMe go directly to the Knapeks, and they are the only ones that can access and use the funds. I’m just creating this to get the ball rolling.

My connection to the family: I have been close friends with George and Linda’s daughter-in-law (and Cindy’s sister-in-law) Kate Knapek for the last two decades and friends with her husband, Edward (George & Linda's son/Cindy's brother) for the same amount of time. Last year, when a loved one close to me was involved in an accident Kate and Edward were two of the first to be there for us during that time. I know the family will appreciate your prayers and generosity.
