In October 2023 Jon Kaiser was diagnosed with stage 3b non small cell lung cancer. In January he had a cardiac event and had to have a pacemaker placed. Jon Kaiser CaringBridge Journal
Two days later his wife Kathleen saw a man lying in the road so she stopped her car and got out to help him, but it was a trick. The man jumped up and ran towards her car. She attempted to stop him by grabbing the keys but he sped off with her car while she was half inside. She was knocked out of the car and into the street causing injuries and health complications, spending several days in the hospital. Kathleen Carjacking interview
Jon has since been back and forth to the hospital suffering from fainting spells caused from multiple blood clots in his neck.
The past several months has been the hardest time in our family- physically, emotionally, and financially. Jon is the sole provider for the couple's household and has been forced to retire early with astronomical health insurance premiums since he was self employed. Kathleen is disabled and relies on her mobility scooter, the wheelchair lift for it was custom installed to her car which is now gone and very expensive to replace. The medical bills for both Jon and Kathleen are now flooding in, any help is very much appreciated!
