Hi, my name is Cara and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Charlie Lake Elementary school. I am fundraising for the Johnsen family, members of our school community, who tragically lost their home to a fire on May 13, 2023 in Charlie Lake.

On Saturday morning, Parker, the Johnsen's oldest son, woke up to a house full of smoke. He was able to wake up his younger sister, AliMae, and his parents MJ and Hailey. Thankfully, due to the courage and braveness of Parker, the family was able to escape safely. Unfortunately, they lost everything in the fire.

I am hoping that our wonderful community will help this family get back on their feet in the midst of this awful tragedy.
