Terry and Rhiena Jenkins are the proud parents of 4 awesome children. Bella is a 6th grader at Providence Day School, Landon is a 3rd grader at Providence Day School, Wesley is a 1st grader at Providence Day School, and Tyson is 4 years old. Rhiena is in her second year of teaching Junior Kindergarten at Charlotte Christian, and Terry is in his 9th year of teaching upper school math at Providence Day School.

In late July, the Jenkins' 6-year-old son, Wesley, underwent surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital involving his trachea and his heart. Unfortunately, a serious infection following the surgery required an emergency second surgery and led to several weeks of intensive care, including ECMO. Wesley most recently underwent a tracheostomy and will need continued medical care and in-home support once he is released from the hospital.

The Jenkins family has a long and uncertain road ahead of them, even after they are able to all be reunited again in North Carolina. Not knowing when that will be, and with both parents unable to be at work in order to care for Wes, many of us wanted to be able to do something to help them. This family is loving and caring, and they always go out of their way to help others. They are wonderful family friends, neighbors, and members of their community. Any little bit that we can provide for them will be an amazing help with medical bills, transportation to have the family fly back and forth from NC to Ohio while they are apart, and for general needs while the family cares for Wesley.
