Help for the Hollis’

On February 6th, our small town experienced severe rain that caused tremendous damage to homes and neighborhoods, including The Hollis’ house. Their finished basement was flooded with over 3 feet of water. They were without power and water for a week. They lost their car, their homeschool room, their playroom, laundry room, and guest room. Fortunately through hard work and volunteers from their friends and family, they were able to do a major clean up and get back to their home  

On July 12th, another severe storm hit. This time, over 7 feet of water rose into their basement doing further damage and destroying all progress from the previous storm. 

Today, September 13th, yet a third storm has flooded their home. It has destroyed not only their basement again, but now their sense of peace and security, and any extra funds previously spent towards progress have all been for nothing.  Without any aid from the city or insurance, it has been up to them to take care of this themselves, on their own dime. 

This family is nothing short of wonderful.If you know them, you know they would give you the shirt off their back without question. They are always listening and encouraging those around them, giving back in so many ways for their community, and have always worked so hard for what they have. Now it’s our chance to help them.
