On Friday Aug 5 2022, Noah was involved in a severe life changing accident in Columbus OH. Noah veered off of Interstate 70 in his Semi- Truck with 42000 lbs of cargo, attempting to save the life of a driver who was hydroplaning uncontrollably. Noah tried to control the truck and cargo, however he went through an 8 ft culvert meant for drainage. The Truck and 53 ft trailer landed on the other side in a heavily wooded area 50 feet on the other side. The other driver fled the scene, and has not been located.
Noah was rescued by first responders, pinned in the cab of the truck. The shear force of the impact caused life altering damage to Noah’s body. Noah has sustained a broken back; severe T12 burst fracture to his spine. His emergency surgery was over 9 hours, in 2 parts. Noah’s spinal cord was compromised as as result of the fracture and spinal dislocation with enormous risk of paralysis to his lower half of his body. The surgeon performed an amazing surgical procedure. Noah will have use of his legs and arms, but his quality of life will never be the same. His trucking business will suffer, and it’s likely that he doesn’t drive again. There is a long road to recovery. His loving wife Ashley, and 3 boys will be there every step of the way. Noah’s mother, siblings, and extended family are extremely thankful for the outpouring of love and support. The financial burden will be significant. Noah does have insurance, however he and his family need the help desperately of his network of friends, and community. Any donation will be so helpful to care for Noah and his family, as he rebuilds and continues to get stronger.
