Hi. Im reaching out on behalf of my family because we need help.  The Bible says you have not because you ask not. Sometimes we are the helpers, and sometimes we need the help. Right now, we need help.

 

My husband has been off work since October 2021 with  COVID-PNEUMONIA.  We just found out that it caused lung disease.  I am a homeschool Mom who normally works very part-time.  I have been doing deliveries because of the flexible schedule to work around caring for my husband,  and taking him to doctor appointments.

Caring for Eric, my Dad (post-cancer patient who lives with us also), homeschooling my boys and working part-time has been a juggle.  

 

Finding out today that he will be unable to work indefinitely was a blow for sure.  He will be off work for certain at least 4-6 more months. And then he will have to find new work to accommodate his oxygen. 

His pulmonologist told him he was basically too sick for him to help so he referred my husband to the Interstitial Lung Disease team.   Eric will begin pulmonary rehab to preserve his healthy lung tissue & hopefully gain lung function, wean off the oxygen & gain strength and endurance again.

We are unable to apply for disability at this time because he hasn't been yet off of work for a year.

But we are so grateful & hopeful that the team believes there's a chance he will recover!! And we are believing for a healing miracle!!!
