Hi my name is Lisa, I am a very close friend of Lindsey’s. Her Fiancé Nate was in a horrible car accident on May 31st. I will post a message from Lindsey below, but I started this to help them with expenses. Nate is severely injured and has a long road ahead to recovery. He is currently in an hospital over a hour from their home. They are going to need help as Nate will be out of work for quite some time, Lindsey will lose time from work going back and forth to take care of their daughter Kenzie and 4 dogs. Please consider helping in any way you can for this soon to be family get through this trying time. See Nate and Lindsey are supposed to get married in 59 days on July 29th 2023. Currently there is an unknown if that date will remain the same or not but this could possibly be one less burden on them. Thank you for taking the time out to listen and please read the message from Lindsey below.
Hey everyone! I wanted to get on here and let you all know what's been going on.
The first thing I will say is WOW!! The power of prayer is absolutely amazing!! The amount of prayers that have been given for Nate, myself and the family has been incredible! ❤️❤️ Please keep them coming!
From Lindsey:
For those that may not know, Nate was in a really bad car accident yesterday in Fredericksburg. Details are still unclear but what we understand is that he went across a median and hit an ambulance head on, we don't know what may have caused this we are still trying to find out. He has suffered some pretty significant neck trauma and a broken leg. He came in not being able to feel anything from the neck down. He was in surgery for about 4 hours last night. They removed 2 herniated discs in his neck, and fused the vertebrae together. He does have some torn ligaments on the front of his neck from the whiplash. They have his leg in a traction right now until he has surgery to repair his broken femur in the right leg which may be tomorrow.
We still don't know yet if he has regained any movement, they have him sedated to stay calm. He's also got a breathing tube in to help him along the way to breathe with the swelling that comes along with his injury, good news he was breathing on his own last night ❤️ they have it on a low setting so he is doing most of the work, it will kick in if he gets below a certain number.
When we finally got to see him last night we went over and talked to him and he opened his eyes and would shake his head yes and no to us when he could which was sooo good to see. He did have some tears come down his face They said he will be here for a few weeks and then probably go to a rehab facility. We have a long road ahead of us but he's a fighter and will pull thru this!!
I can't thank ALL of you enough for reaching out to help out in anyway you can, we truly appreciate everything! I will do my best to come on here and update everyone as we know more. Again thank you everyone and keep the prayers going!!! ❤️❤️❤️
