Help for the family of Charlie: A Father & Friend

Hi,

My name is Cody, and I am fundraising for the family of a dear friend and co-worker Charlie Hart. Anyone fortunate enough to know Charlie would attest to his infectious personality and selfless demeanor. As someone who has known Charlie for but a short time, I can say he has encouraged me to look at life with a new perspective.

On Wednesday, November 30th, Charlie's wife Katelynn reached out to let me know Charlie had been rushed to the hospital. His status was critical, and the implications were not good. Further tests confirmed that an unexpected case of Diabetic Ketoacidosis was responsible for this sudden hospitalization. The last two weeks have been extremely traumatic for his family, including his wife Katelynn and their two year old son Marcellus. Up until a couple of days ago, Charlie was on a ventilator and fighting for his life.

Katelynn is a stay at home mother, working hard every day to care for and homeschool their son. Charlie's family relies heavily on him financially - and as a result of his being hospitalized for an extended period of time, the medical bills are expected to be significant. There is never a convenient time for tragedy to strike, though the holiday season further complicates their financial anxieties.

My hope is that we can work together to help alleviate some of the unimaginable struggles Charlie and his family are facing - an act of kindness for which their gratitude is immeasurable!
