Help for the Fabara family
Donation protected
Many of you know the Fabara family, Elizabeth, Alex, Ava (8) and Brandon (6). Elizabeth is a teacher in the Burlington School District and grew up right down the street from where she teaches. In October 2020 she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and has spent the past 15 months fighting to beat the disease. She was doing fairly well, even going back to teaching this past fall. Unfortunately the disease progressed and several weeks ago she started experiencing new symptoms that were neurological in nature. She was admitted to the hospital where she was diagnosed with another rare form of cancer called Leptomeningeal Disease, where the cancer cells spread into the spinal fluid. This is a dangerous form of cancer that needs to be closely monitored by doctors and nurses. Elizabeth and Alex are currently living at the hospital while the kids are at home being cared for by family. Elizabeth had to leave her teaching job at the end of last semester and they are having to live with one income and an uncertain future.
We reach out to all of you to help raise money for this amazing family that needs our love, strength and support during this time. On their behalf, we are asking for support with the families living expenses and mounting medical bills. The stress of simply fighting this terrible disease and being separated from their children is enough for them to have to deal with. We hope to ease even a small part of this incredible burden by alleviating the stress of worrying about the increasing financial burden.
Please consider donating to help this family and please include them in your prayers. Thank you.
