Help for the Dominican bateys
Donation protected
For the past 20 years I have been Travelling to the Dominican Republic with Nursing students and faculty to learn about the Domincan culture and health care and to provide hands on medical care in mobile clinics held mainly in bateys where the Haitian people live and cut sugar cane . The conditions in these bateys are extremely poor and we have learned that the NGO providing support for a mobile team of health workers in the bateys around Consuelo has finished its committment and will no long be providing funding . This leaves the bateys in a desperate situation . We will still be going this April to Consuelo and will hold clinics in 4 bateys with the help our friends in Consuelo. We would like to take medications and vitamins to provide the people there with much needed medical care . If you can help us with a donation it would be much appreciated .
