A dear friend of ours is experiencing the worst pain possible right now. The loss of her husband, who was also a dear friend to us and passed very unexpectedly Monday morning. I know that all of us want to help her in any way possible so I thought this could be a way for us to help her out but to also give her some time and space to grieve since she is now tragically a single mother. 
The number I put is just a random number. Memorial plans are not finalized or anything but I know that it is not cheap. The money will go directly to Vicki to help with medical expenses, the memorial service and/or funeral, and bills that she will be needing help with in the coming months. Her sons 4th birthday is also coming up very soon and so are all the holidays.
Vicki is one of the most hardworking and caring people I know. She would give anything and everything to help out a friend (or anyone for that matter). She is a person that I turn to if I am ever in a time of need and has always been there to help and support me with anything and everything. She's a wonderful mother and her son just adores her. 
It would be so amazing if we could all come together to help her through this very difficult time for her and her son. We all know how stressful money situations can be and if we could lift that burden from her for now I know she would be so grateful.
