On Tuesday June 26th, our dear friend Bronwyn lost her husband Michael Correa to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare brain disorder affecting one person per million each year.  Mike was diagnosed only three weeks ago when he started to experience memory problems. A dedicated father of three, Mike started to forget basic details which normally he would have no difficulty remembering. Within a few short weeks, Mike declined to complete memory loss and incapacitation. He ultimately passed with friends and family present on the morning of June 26th at home.
 
Mike was only 47 at the time of his passing, and was the sole provider for his family, working in construction for the past 25 years. Mike was a loving father and leaves behind three children, Anthony (age 11), Colgan (age 10), and Ellis (age 8). His sudden death will undoubtedly impact his family both emotionally and financially for years to come.

Mike had recently changed jobs and did not have medical insurance. In order to diagnose this rare disease, Mike was hospitalized for a large part of the last few weeks of his life. Bronwyn is a stay at home mother. The Correa family needs to raise money to pay for medical bills and day to day living expenses. Anything helps! Thank you in advance for your generosity.
