Dear Friends
It is with a heavy heart I update you.
As you may or may not be aware Tom passed away at 1.14am on Thursday 7 April 2022.
Tom had restarted Chemo a few days before but Barbara had to call the ambulance and he was admitted on Saturday to the Hospital where they found his bowl had a perforation and it was inoperable they think it was cause by the cancer.
His family and friends had been by his side throughout his last days in the Hospice and Barbara tells me he had some wonderul nurses.
As you can imagine his wife Barbara, daughter Ashley, son in law Greg and granddaughter Olivia are devastated in losing him. He battled to the end.
What I'm asking, with Ashley's consent, if anyone could spare any small amount of money to put towards medical costs, funeral costs and general costs of living while they are grieving it would be a great help to them. I know they would never normally ask for anything but I'm hoping we can make things a little easier for them at this terribly sad time.
Thank you in advance of any donation that you can make.

========================
First initial post
As you may or may not be aware a good friend of ours - Tom Clare from KS USA - is dealing with Stage 4 Esophageal cancer that has spread to his liver and lymph nodes.
We are from the UK and really can not comprehend how the medical/care system works over there but it appears you pay for most stuff and even when you have worked all your life the Government don't appear to be generous in helping with living costs when such a massive blow like cancer hits.
Tom has been diagnosed and fighting cancer for a while now undergoing Chemotherapy and using a feeding tube. Tom has now come to the end of his paid sick leave from work. Barbara is still working and caring for Tom in between shifts and looking after their granddaughter Olivia.
The issue we are asking for help with is if any friends could see their way to donate a small amount of cash to help with day to day living/food and bills of the The Clare household. We know for a fact this is something that they would never ask for and are very proud but if we could all pull together and put a little in it could help an awful lot.
If you live locally and feel you could donate care parcels / food parcels instead we are also very sure that they would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance of your kind generosity. Please feel free to share this post with other friends of The Clare family.
