We have known the Burrows Family - Clive, Grace, Alistair, Philippa and John - our whole lives. We had holidays together and they came to stay with us many times when they were home from the mission field in Papua New Guinea. Our Dad was best man at Clive and Grace's wedding and Clive was best man at theirs. My mum and Dad are Philippa's Godparents and, had anything happened to Clive and Grace, Alistair, Philippa and John would have joined our family. In short, they are a family who are very special to my family.
As a child I (Heather) was closest to Alistair. He was like a big brother and used to look after me when our families were together. I remember him once giving me a green plastic wiggly snake and I treasured it. He taught me how to play the card game Uno and we would have games that lasted hours.
Earlier this month Alistair was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been given only months to live. Alistair and his family live in Canada. Clive, Grace, Philippa and John all live in England. We wanted to start this gofundme to help to make sure that there are no financial barriers to bringing this family back together.
