From Derek: As you know, this year has been a bit of a roller coaster for my wife and I; full of ups and downs. A year ago this month we found out she had cervical cancer. Since then we got married, she had her cervical cancer removed successfully, we bought a house and had to do some work to it before we moved in. Then Covid hit and her work made her stay home for a few weeks because she had a cold for one day; and for me sales were not good because of Covid. To top it off, my wife, a nurse who has been working hard throughout Covid and an Air Force vet, went in and had a lump checked on her breast and biopsies came back stage III breast cancer. This year has really hit our emotions and wallets. And we still don’t know how the doctors plan on attacking the cancer or what’s it’s gonna cost.
