Help for the Berry Family After a House Fire
Donation protected
My mother's house caught on fire on 4/23/21 in Nevada, MO, due to an electrical problem. Thankfully no one was hurt, since my family was all away from home at the time.
However, my mom, Belinda Berry, her husband, Clinton Berry, my grandfather, James Williams, and my baby sister, Caitlyn, are currently living out of a hotel for the near future while they are waiting for their homeowners insurance claim to be processed. The pictures below only show some of the damage from the house. They don't know how long it will be until they can move back home. They are also currently looking for a rental home.
My mother is a former registered nurse, who rescues animals. She is from Pulaski, NY. At the time of the fire, she had four dogs, a snake, two birds, and fourteen cats. She personally climbed into a window of her house, while it was on fire, to save the lives of her animals. All but her birds lived because of my mom.
My stepfather is a sergeant with a local municipal agency. He has been a police officer for the past fourteen years. My grandfather is retired, and my sister is still in high school.
All donations will go towards offsetting costs they have associated with losing their home and their belongings because of the fire. They do not have much because all of their belongings have to be processed and cleaned before the items can be returned to them, if they can be returned at all, according to the insurance company.
Any help for them would be extremely appreciated. They would never say so, but they really could use help at this time. They are good people and are trying to make it through the best they can.
Please consider donating. Thank you!
