Help for Andrew Atilano
Andrew and his girlfriend Gracey went to Mexico on June 17 to help with some building needs for Camp Amos, a children’s special needs orphanage near Tuxtla, Chiapas. The day before they were supposed to return after a 2 week stay, Andrew got appendicitis and needed to have his appendix removed in a hospital in Tuxtla, Mexico. There were many complications that arose from that which resulted in several very uncomfortable procedures. He also had to get a blood transfusion.
With the help of many friends in Mexico, we were able to get a Medi Vac plane to fly him from Tuxtla to San Diego. He is at Kaiser San Diego fighting hard to recover from sepsis and the havoc this has wrought on his body.
Andrew has been brave as he has fought through his appendicitis ordeal and recovery process, which he is still going through now. It has been a time of unpredictability, pain, and one scary incident after another, but also chocked full of God’s mercy and provision. Andrew has courageously fought through the long nights, the many painful needles, and uncertainties. His family & Gracey covet your prayers for his full recovery and for his body to be supernaturally strengthened to combat the attacks on his body.
We pray that Andrew would be overwhelmed with the knowledge of the Lord’s power and experience it in a healing way that would combat the attacks on His body.
We are so thankful the Lord watched over Gracey and Andrew and allowed them to get back to the States. Please pray not only for Andrew, but for my sister Gracey as well, as she has gone through all of this with him. She has given up many nights of sleep to remain with him at all times and to be constantly vigilant. Any amount you are able to donate is greatly appreciated, even if it is just prayer!
Any money that goes beyond expenses incurred for this specific event will be contributed to the clinic in San Cristóbal that more than provided so many life-giving services for Andrew’s well-being during this event in Mexico.
