When Tatum came into my life I wasn’t looking for a dog. I kept playing with the idea but felt I couldn’t afford one and it definitely didn’t fit my lifestyle. I was asked to foster him and I fell in love immediately so I kept him. He brought me so much joy & became my new baby. Tuesday February 2nd Tatum lost control of his bladder. I was a little upset because Tatum doesn’t pee in the house EVER but then it kept happening and it became alarming. I thought maybe the cold weather so I put the heater on in the apartment and took him to work with me so I could take him out more often than usual. Thursday I decided to take my chances leaving him home only to come home to him laying in a pool of urine & vomit. Tatum was so stressed he ate his toy which was causing the vomiting. He was still so excited to see me that he jumped up to run towards me but his back legs gave out on him. I freaked TF out. I took him to a nearby clinic and they ran tests that didn’t bring back any major issues. They said his back legs problem was a pinched nerve & prescribed pain meds.  So I thought okay, I’ll stay home and monitor him. Unfortunately the puking didn’t stop yet he was still eager to go outside but had little control of his back legs and would fall flat on his face anytime he got excited He wasn’t eating but was drinking lots of water. He puked one last time that literally had me balling, I just couldn’t handle it anymore so I rushed him to the hospital. They noticed everything I was concerned about and decided to keep him. Saturday morning when I called to check on him the doctor told me Tatum has kidney failure and the tests were showing spine abnormalities. He’s only 1 years old. I’m torn. Please pray for my little TayTay... That he returns to his joyful, obnoxious, and loving self as healthy as healthy can be.
