Our dog mango has left us, he passed away and he left us with our heart broken and full of pain and emptyness. We thank you for all the donations, We tried our best to keep him but he was very sick and in pain. We spent 6000$ in medication and treatments but it was all money lost and left to the vets. to cover for the medication it did not do anything for him. I need to tell you that my heart is very dissapointed that feel all vets we went through show no love for the profession.

Mango is a 1-year-old border collie that enjoys life and cuddling with his family. He is gentle with his human sisters (6 and 11 years old), he is loved and cherished by everyone. In April 2021 Mango was playing with his frisbee in the park and he started screaming in excruciating pain. Following the scream, he started showing symptoms of what would look like a seizure; twisting his front legs and neck to the point where he would look completely bent. From this point on, Mango continued having these types of sudden attacks where his body would twist all over, which made him be scared of making the slightest movements, because even small or abrupt movement would also trigger a pain response. His human parents have stopped almost all physical activity (except for his daily walks) to avoid him being under so much pain. They also sought advice from professionals, however, with his symptoms being so sudden, they were not able to show the veterinarians exactly what would happen during one of these “seizures”, giving the veterinarians no reference to understand the severity of the case. They were advised to take him to a canine neurologist for an MRI and to get acupuncture sessions, which they did. On September 25th, 2021, Mango was taking one of his daily walks when he started screaming and twisting in pain, only that this time the pain seemed to be extreme given that he could not get back up and walk. He was taken to the emergency veterinarian hospital “ Carrefour Sante” in Sherbrooke, Qc where more tests were done. The doctor was able to diagnose him with Bridging spondylosis, but advised to get the MRI done as soon as possible, given that it is a serious condition, and they need to deepen the results to get the best course of action. This MRI and the neurologists fees together can surpass the $4000 amount. Due to COVID19, his family is struggling to meet the costs, and this leads them to ask for your help. Please help us get Mango a diagnosis for him to live his best life, which his family wants so much to provide for him!
