Help For Susan and Joshua Sproul & Family
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for our friend and co-worker, Susan Sproul, her husband, Josh and their three children. As an AVID Tutor at Champlin Park High School, Susan has helped and supported (both educationally and emotionally) hundreds of students throughout her years of service. In her time of need, we want to do what we can to help and support her.
Susan's husband, Joshua was diagnosed around nine years ago with Adult Medulloblastoma. This type of brain cancer mainly affects children and is rare in adults his age. At that time, and after a series of grueling procedures, he was in remission. In October of 2017, however, his tumor returned and he had to undergo another surgical procedure followed by chemo and radiation. Months later, they received some good news that there was no new tumor growth.
Unfortunately that good news didn't last as they just discovered that his cancer had metastasized (spread) to the upper part of his spinal cord. There a very few options left for them at this point.
Since Josh's initial diagnosis, the road for the Sproul family has been long, hard and extremely rocky. It has gotten even worse. They have been faced with serious financial issues and even more serious emotional strain (imagine what their three children are going through) and it will only continue in the coming months and years.
We are asking each and every one of you reading this to please donate whatever you can to help Susan and her family. The donations won't heal Josh, and they won't save him, but this is something that we all can do to help ease their financial strain. We also know that we have an amazing group of CPHS AVID students, families and co-workers - both past and present - who would love to help out.
Please consider giving the Sproul family ONE LAST CHANCE at a family vacation, or simply help them pay bills, buy necessities and purchase groceries! And please spread the word. THANK YOU!
