Help for Stray Kitten Hit By Car

My friend Cathi Newlin and her aunt are standup people who care for animals. So when auntie saw a kitten get hit by a car in their Sacramento neighborhood, and it was clear that he was alive but injured, Cathi cared for him overnight and then took him to the excellent UC Davis Vet Hospital. Per Cathi: "No internal injuries; broken femur and possibly hip. We got pain meds and fluids. Will go to my regular vet for xrays and treatment options as it should be less expensive." Cathi is calling around to find a vet to immobilize his dragging leg until he can get xrays and treatment.

Let's help Cathi with the vet bills from UC Davis and those to come to take care of this tiny one. Davis bill not final but will be $600-650. Local vet services will include stabilizing the leg, diagnostic imaging, and treatment which could include various ortho/surgery options, possibly even including amputation. If funds are raised in excess of these costs, Cathi intends to donate remainder to Front Sheet Animal Shelter here in Sacramento, which cares for a lot of animals in need and has a pet food bank for low income people.
