Help for Stovokor's vet bills
Donation protected
Can you believe this precious puppy could have been thrown out of a vehicle on the freeway? Stovokor was found by two CHP officers on the shoulder of the freeway, along with a battered Igloo dog house. Our best guess is he may have been in the Igloo when it was thrown from, or fell off of, a vehicle. His injuries are consistent with that, and not having been hit by a car. His front right leg is broken. His front left leg is paralyzed. One rear leg has a large laceration. There is a very strong possibility the paralyzed leg will have to be amputated. He requires bandage and splint changes every 3 to 4 days, for however long it takes to heal, along with laser therapy to help him heal. We believe it is fate that brought him into the shelter, just hours before we had to put our 8 year old shepherd to sleep unexpectedly due to cancer. Our other pets are insured, but that won't help with these injuries. In just the first 9 days, his care has been almost $1000.00. Any funds from this post will go directly to his vet care at Animal Medical Center of Corona. I will post updates regularly.
