Hi everyone,

we’re Vanessa and Janik from Switzerland.

During our recent trip to Campofelice, near Cefalù in Sicily, we met something that deeply touched us – dozens of stray cats living in difficult conditions. Every day, a few would come to our accommodation, just looking for food or a bit of safety.

One cat, however, broke our hearts. She had a severe facial injury and was clearly suffering. We knew we couldn’t just walk away.

After days of searching for help, we finally found ZampAmica – a small, volunteer-run sanctuary that cares for well over 100 cats. They welcomed the injured cat without hesitation and immediately began her treatment. A few days later, they also took in two sick kittens we had found nearby.

ZampAmica provides food, shelter, medical care, and love – all without any government support. Every single act of care comes from volunteers working out of pure compassion.

Unfortunately, many of the cats still need medical attention, and resources are running low. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
