Please Help Shane & Lance

The picture you see here is my son and my brothers dog... Lance. You would never think such a big animal could be so loving and affectionate.
My family received an unfortunate phone call tonight that both my brother and his dog were hit by a car. My brother was taking Lance for his ritual walk. Looked both ways of course, and then next the impact of a car tossed him over 30 ft, and his dog over 50 ft. The driver was going well over 40 mph upon impact. Luckily, my brother reluctantly only has some road rash and a broken leg (could have been ALOT worse). However, his dog is currently at the emergency vet and we were just told he has water on his brain accompanied by swelling. We don't know what is to come, but, we do know my brother is now going to have an extensive bill to pay due to this accident.
My brother is a very hard worker...he has both a full time job and runs his own landscaping company. Unfortunately, he will not be able to go back to work for some time. I'm sure everyone knows and can imagine the toll this is going to take.
My family and I are beyond devastated this happened, and Lance is just like FAMILY! I have never seen a more well behaved dog and my brother worked very very hard to get him trained to be the way he is! Lance is more than a best friend to Shane, he is a support system for my brother and also a therapy for him as well. The compassion and dedication Shane has for this dog will never go unnoticed. And the love Lance has for my brother is truly remarkable!
