Help for Seana Marie
Donation protected
The family of Seana would like to thank everyone for your support this far. We are blown away by all of the prayers and words of encouragement. Because of this life changing incident, we would like to ask our community, friends, family, anonymous donors and those who know Seana to consider financially assisting with her journey to recovery. She will have a long road ahead with long term care and rehabilitation.
On the late hours of July 27th, 2023, Seana was a passenger on a motorcycle and the driver lost control. She sustained life threatening injuries including multiple skull and facial fractures. A major brain injury (DAI) and multiple brain bleeds. Fractures to her back, neck, clavicle wrist and fingers. She was most likely thrown several hundred feet if the amount of road rash was any indication. Though she's fought off infections and brain swelling she still has a long journey ahead. It has been almost a month and recently Seana has had a remarkable stride in her recovery. She is able to periodically respond, wink, smile and grasp with one hand. We are so excited for her healing and to see that her brain functions seem to be intact.
Even with all of this good news she still spends much of her time asleep and struggles to keep up with therapy. Her significant neurological and disfiguring physical injuries have left her without the ability to produce any sort of income during her extensive rehabilitation and upcoming long-term resident neurological care. She will also receive additional surgeries in the future to repair fractures that the surgeons are currently unable to repair due to her neck fracture and immobilization equipment. She survived the unimaginable through her faith, determination, willpower and unrelenting love of her young children. I have never met someone so small but so mighty! She is absolutely astonishing to all of us.
The next phase of her journey will include being moved to a long-term care facility. She will have to go to a facility that specializes in traumatic brain injury. We are praying for Gods hand in this process. During this time, she will have many expenses that will need to be covered. If this alone wasn't enough, we also found out her insurance is no longer active. Renewal was to take place 4 days after her accident and the family was unaware. In preparation for her move and long-term care we have established this GoFundMe.
Proceeds will go toward Seana's medical care and monthly expenses. She has two beautiful children who are her pride and joy and we can't wait until she is able to share life with them again! We are very thankful that this GoFundMe will provide the opportunity to bring her family together and provide the resources she needs in her recovery. Thank you in advance for your contribution.
