On the morning of March 20th, 2019 my best friend was woken up by the smell of smoke. Samantha, her daughter and her mom were all in the apartment as the fire occurred. She couldn’t leave her bedroom because the fumes were so strong. As a mother, her first instinct was to get Carolynn out as soon as she could. She had taken Carolynn through the bedroom window and put her on to the awning of the bakery located underneath her apartment. Jumping out right after her, there was a man and woman walking right past the bakery. They then asked Carolynn to jump, as she did. They caught her, and after caught Samantha. Her mom was stuck in the window as the fire department went up to rescue her. We went back to the apartment today to see that they had lost everything.. from clothing, pictures, and sentimental items. We are asking for any donations to help them get back what they’ve lost!
