Help for Ryan Francois

Donation protected
Dear Friends: Our beloved Ryan Francois needs help. He was in an accident a few months back, in which he broke his wrist and thumb, and now he needs a great deal of medical care. Months in a cast has left his right hand pretty much useless; he needs to cover the cost of extensive physical therapy, not only for the hand but for his shoulder, legs, feet...pretty much his entire body. His transportation and living expenses while he is unable to work are also overwhelming. He is currently living in St. Petersburg, Russia, and has limited medical coverage. Ryan has done so much to support our scene and our great legends over the years, including Norma Miller, Frankie Manning, and Dawn Hampton. Now let's support him through this devastating year! With our help, he can continue to spread his profound knowledge and joy of swing dance after Covid-19 is gone. PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN AND SPREAD THE WORD. THANK YOU!

A little about Ryan: Ryan Francois is a world-renowned dancer, choreographer, and educator of all forms of swing dance. He played a central role in the revival of Lindy Hop and is a two-time winner of the U.S. Open and American Swing Dance Championships. Ryan has choreographed acclaimed routines for Strictly Come Dancing  and So You Think You Can Dance. Most of all, the talent and passion he brings to the dance world has made many lives around the world immeasurably richer.  There are many great clips of Ryan out there, but I've included a few of my favorites below. You can also hear him talk about swing dance and its history on The Track Podcast    and with Evita Arce at Syncopated City .on The Track Podcast  and with Evita Arce at Syncopated City .
