Help for Monty- Part 2
Donation protected
New story-
Hey, I wanted to first say thank you to everyone who donated to us and had us achieve our first goal of $1,000. I would’ve left it at that, but things took another turn for Monty.
Earlier today, Monty went in for her weekly check up and all was well, she’s been doing great! But then, the doctor feels another mass in her and concludes the antibiotics aren’t working anymore.
In order to finally figure out what is going on, we opted to do surgery to get samples tested and to see what is going on once and for all. It was a hard decision, especially financially, but if it gets me closer to having my Monty back home and well, then so be it.
So I have to ask for help yet again. To those who have donated, please do not feel obligated to donate again. You guys have done enough and I’m grateful for the help and support given. I’m just asking for this to be shared around so others may see and possibly help. I’m not expecting the goal to be reached. I just want to see if I can get any little help I can. It’s worth a shot, right?
I’ll update you guys more as more info comes through. Currently Monty is at the hospital and will have surgery in the morning. Please wish us luck for our little girl! <3
Old story here-
This past week or so we’ve been hit with terrible luck, one after the other.
Last Sunday our dog, Rosco, was vomiting and had non stop diarrhea. This wouldn’t be too concerning if he wasn’t also diabetic and continuing to have these symptoms worsen throughout the week. Luckily, after a night at the hospital and a vet visit, I am pleased to say Rosco is happy and healthy again. And at that time, the bill for the hospital and vet was fine until we hit Saturday this past weekend.
That morning my ferret, Monty, seemed very lethargic. I noticed she wasn’t eating as much as before, but was active the night before, so I wrote it off as Monty being Monty. However, later that night she got worse. She wouldn’t eat, could barely move, and was very frail.
So off to an emergency vet we go for the second time that week. This time though, it was discovered she had a mass inside her and they weren’t sure how long she had left. They didn’t offer the surgery needed or the knowledge of treating a
ferret, so we had to travel to another hospital in New Jersey (we’re about an hour or so from NJ) to figure what the next steps are for my little girl.
And with that, more hospital bills have arrived and have grown bigger. My boyfriend, Kody, and I are at a lose of what to do.
That’s why I am here to ask for any help towards these bills. Currently, Monty is still in the hospital getting looked at and we don’t know if the treatment will be surgery, medicine, or worse. So, depending on what happens today, the goal may change, but at this point anything helps.
I would be beyond grateful for anything. Every little bit helps. I’m happy Rosco is still happy and here with us and I can only hope for the best for Monty.
Thank you you everyone and wish us luck! <3
