Help for Riddler's vet fees

Donation protected
UPDATE - 3.11.2021

I've closed the donations as a lot more than a couple of hundred has been raised and I'm confident that whatever road lays ahead for him MRI, Tests, extended hospital stay, treatment will be covered by the incredible levels of genorosity shown by so many. Thank you so much.

As I said last night if there is anything left over after treatment I will donate the remaining to a couple of animal charities.

Riddler has safely been admitted back to hospital as of first thing this morning.

I really had no intention of doing this but so many people have offered to help I thought I will try,

This is my cat Riddler's story -

As some of you know my youngest cat stopped jumping last week and didn’t seem to want to use his back legs much. He is only 7 months old.
This past couple of days he went from not wanting to jump to losing all use of his back legs.

He has been in hospital, had blood tests, and pain relief but nothing conclusive,
They don’t know if it is viral or neurological as apart from his legs not working he is physically fine.

He isn’t insured and to even do exploratory work before any actual treatment could be well over £1500.
Just an MRI is about £1000.
I had to bring him home from hospital, with a view to monitoring him for a few days as I couldn’t afford to leave him there, in the hope it is viral and he will improve having already spent £400 on his hospital stay and monitoring.
The truth is I don’t have a spare £1500-£3000 or I would hand it over in a heartbeat.

I’ve spent most of today, and this evening trying the Blue Cross, PDSA, RSPCA hospital’s etc all over the north.
The story is the same….if I was on benefits then he would be treated for free. Not on benefits but not flush with cash……too bad!

The picture is of him this afternoon. He has to be fed mostly by hand and the same with water, unless it is left right by his mouth. I’ve now placed puppy pads all round as he can’t get to the litter tray. It is a real sorry situation which seems to be getting worse. It is really sad and upsetting and I can’t see a way through at the moment.

If you could please help my cat I would be grateful beyond belief....

UPDATE - 11.30pm 2.11.2021 -

I utterly astounded by the kindness of so many, so quickly and at such a time of night.
At the very least Riddler will be back to the hospital tomorrow morning.
I've been told that it could be in the ball park of £3000 for an MRI, tests, hospital stay etc etc.
IF anything is left over I will donate across a couple of animal charities.
