Razzle has a mass in his remaining anal gland which is causing him pain and discomfort. This suddenly arose and was completely unexpected. One day he was fine, happy and playing, and the next, not so much. Aside from having arthritis in his knee, he is otherwise healthy and active. He still loves playing ball, going on hikes, exploring the top of the hill behind the house, and bossing his brother around. Whatever this is, it will need surgery to remove, as it is obstructing his bowel. Either way, I am asking for help covering costs for treatment to alleviate his suffering until his medical team advise it is time to say goodbye. We are hoping that won't be for another 6-12 months; if it turns out to be a malignancy, we are opting not to put him through chemo or radiation. Please help me help him to stay for as long as he still wants to do so. I'm not looking to prolong his pain, and I know I will not have a choice when it is time for him to go or he tells me he is ready. But please help us put that off just a little bit longer.
