Help for Ralph & Carol: Flood - Car Accident - Ida
Hi everyone, I’m raising funds for my friend Ralph and his wife Carol. For those of you who don’t know them, I’ll just say they are having a tough year. They live in southern Louisiana and were married about two years ago. Besides dealing with COVID-19 and Ralph losing his job their house was flooded May 21 of this year when 12 inches of rain fell on Louisiana. While still cleaning up from that Ralph was in a terrible car accident on June 9 and broke his neck. Lucky to be alive, he was in a halo until about a week ago. The halo came off and they put a neck brace on him with restricted movement. Things seem to be coming along OK for him until hurricane Ida hit them last night. While sitting in his living room on the first floor the roof blew completely off his house! They are now homeless and lost everything they owned. I talk to him tonight and they are staying at a hotel and unsure of what the future brings. Carol told me tonight she’s unsure how much more she can handle of this!
