As friends and co-workers of Qinghua, we are aware that her ability to renew her work permit has been limited due to an extensive delay in processing. She has been unable to work since October 20, 2025, and has depleted her savings.

She followed all of the requirements and qualified for her green card three years ago. She has annually been able to renew this permit within a matter of weeks. This year, it's been six months and we aren't sure when it will be renewed. We were told the current wait time is eight months.

Qinghua is a single mother with an 11-year-old daughter who is a gifted musician and doing very well in her current school. They have no other family living in the United States.

Qinghua is kind, gracious, and brings a bright light to any space she joins.
