Help for Puppy Marvel

Introducing puppy Marvel! (aka Marvin to his close friends). This sweet 8 month old boy has spent much of his life in a kennel at the city shelter. Brought in by the NYPD at just a few months old due to his owner's mental health issues, this little guy was not dealt the greatest hand. Making matters worse, Marvin has special needs:  a malformed hip, elbow dysplasia and severe grade 4 luxated patellas in both knees -meaning his knee caps are nowhere near where they should be thus making walking both difficult and painful.  Adding insult to injury the compensation and stress put on his front limbs in order to walk has resulted in arthritis in both his front and back legs. Marvel must have both knees surgically corrected, and the sooner the better.

I started fostering Marvel 6 weeks ago and I can tell you that despite his physical setbacks he is truly an amazing and special dog! Everyone Marvel meets falls in love with him instantly yet potential adopters have all shied away due to the high cost of his much needed surgery.

I am committed to seeing this little guy get a fair shot at the healthy full life that he rightfully deserves which includes being able to run and jump and be the dog I know he was meant to be! I set up this Go Fund Me campaign to help raise the money for his corrective surgery. I have no doubt that this bundle of goodness will get adopted in a heartbeat once his back legs are fixed.

I am asking for any donation amount, no matter how small, $1, $5, $20 or whatever is feasible. With enough small donations we can all help Marv out, even sharing this campaign amongst your network would make a huge difference.

All profits from sales will be going directly towards Marvel's medical costs, any remaining profits will go to the ACC and other NYC rescue groups.
